Glory Days (based on the girl-group's album of the same name) is a Netflix teen-dramedy television series, based on the fictional high-school lives of Zendaya Coleman, Bella Thorne, Nausheen Ali and Peyton List. Netflix officially signed a multi-million dollar contract with the American girl-group Zendellaneyton for them to star in the series.

The series has been as described as being the first time in five years all four girls acted in together.

Production of the first season began on September 18, 2017 and finished on December 19, 2017.

The first episode was available for streaming on March 16, 2018.

Plot[]

Set in a high school run by cliques and social groups, the series follows the four lives of school "IT GIRLS": Z, B, N and P, who are all members of the most popular clique in school. All four girls have complicated love lives, are hated by most people and are always getting involved in drama within one another. As the new school year arrives and eager students want to join their clique, all four girls are forced to show them the ropes and show them what it takes to rule the hallways like a boss. The series stars the elite American girl-group Zendellaneyton (Zendaya, Bella Thorne, Nausheen Ali and Peyton List), as viewers get to witness them in a whole new light. Including a few cute guys (or girls!) and a stellar musical score featuring the girls' original music, what more could you possibly want in the newest dramedy to reach your screens?!

Trivia[]

  • The show received backlash on social media on December 17, 2017 after fans noticed that there were no pure "Asian" actors in the main cast, after an interview Zendellaneyton had stated that the show features characters from a full spectrum of the rainbow (referring to culture and sexuality). This prompted the hashtag, "#ZendellaneytonIsOverParty to trend briefly on social media.
    • A few fans came to their defense saying that the girl-group does not control who is casted or not, and that Nausheen Ali and Zahid Muralidharan are cast members who are Asian (since they both have an Indian heritage).
